Moss Brook Church Hosts FREE End-of-Summer Carnival To Bring Community Together
In addition to live music, activities and food – this event will provide access to FREE back-to-school haircuts
South Paris, Maine (July 23, 2024) – In an effort to bring the community together, Moss Brook Church will host an End-of-Summer Carnival. All are welcome to attend this FREE community event.
The carnival will take place on August 24, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Moss Brook Church located at 496 High Street, South Paris, Maine. The carnival will provide fun for all ages and will feature a bounce house, face painting, dunk tank, popcorn, cotton candy, live music, and more!
In addition to all of the activities, food and fun, Moss Brook Church will provide complementary back-to-school haircuts for all those who sign up ahead of time. Stylists Jasmine Colby, Katie Millett, and Whitney Field, of The Mane Room in Norway, Maine will give the complementary back-to-school haircuts at the event. “We are thrilled to be able to offer this fun community event for kids as they are wrapping up their summer vacation and help gear them up for another year at school. Oxford Hills is an amazing community and at Moss Brook Church we want to do our part in providing community events for our youth,” said Andrea Hart, event co-organizer and Children’s Ministry Director at Moss Brook Church. “And, a special thank you to the generous hairdressers in Oxford Hills, who are donating their time and skills, allowing us to offer haircuts at no charge at this event.”.
“We are looking forward to being able to serve our community and provide an opportunity for people to hang out together,” said Pastor Tim Knowles.
Laura Swasey, a senior at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, who is co-organizing this event with Andrea Hart as part of her Senior Project added, “I’m so excited to be throwing this free community event for our youth!”.
In the event of rain, the carnival will be moved inside.
All ages are welcomed at the event. Parents are asked to stay with their children to ensure safety for all.
