A Night of Wishes and Wins: Finetco Hosts A Wish Come True Families at Providence College Basketball
COVENTRY, RI (November 14, 2025) – Finetco, A Family of Lumberyards, is once again turning basketball season into a celebration of hope and community. On November 18, Finetco will host one hundred guests at the Providence College Men’s Basketball game — a mix of Finetco team members and families from A Wish Come True, a Rhode Island nonprofit that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.
Since 2017, Finetco has brought families together each year for an unforgettable Friars game experience, sharing moments of joy and connection both on and off the court.
“We are incredibly fortunate as a family-owned business to partner with Providence College in granting these A Wish Come True families a magical night out, free from everyday stresses, where they can simply enjoy precious time together,” said Evan Finnegan, a member of the Finnegan family. “After the game, we are bringing the families on the court and into the Champions Club to interact with the players and coach.
The unwavering strength and smiles of these parents and children, facing their challenges day in and day out, inspire hope in so many of us without them even realizing it.
It’s an honor to witness and support such resilience, as my brothers and I carry forward what we have been shown from our parents — the importance of giving back to our community.”
