BLOCK ISLAND, RI (May 19, 2021) – Summer fun and Ballard’s Beach Resort go hand-in-hand. So, it will come as no surprise that the iconic Block Island summer destination just announced it has an incredible 2021 season planned that includes – among other things – festivals, live music, beach bonfires, fresh seafood and a brand new daiquiri bar.
“We’re excited Ballard’s will be fully open for the summer of 2021. Our friendly staff has been working tirelessly to get everything ready for the season,” said Steven Filippi, owner of Ballard’s Beach Resort. “We can’t wait to welcome back our guests for what’s sure to be a summer to remember.”
Ballard’s opens for the summer on May 21, with the season running through Sunday, September 26. In addition to live music every day, the beach resort has several marquee events planned throughout the summer. As always, Ballard’s private beach is open to the public and all events, including music festivals and daily live music, are free for everyone to enjoy. No cover charge!
Ballard’s has a summer filled with live music, including the following events:
Memorial Day Weekend – Saturday, May 29, 2021
1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Officially opening for the season on May 21, Ballard’s will kick off the summer with it’s traditional Memorial Day Weekend celebration on May 29 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. This year, the festivities will double as a retirement bash for Vin Carlone, thanking him for his 18 years of service as Block Island’s police chief. Rain date for the event is May 30.
July 4th Weekend Bash – July 2-4, 2021
Ballard’s is the place for THE BEST July 4th party. Celebrate The Fourth all weekend long with beach and live music, including:

Block Island Country Fest – July 5, 2021
10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Ballard’s keeps the party going on July 5th with Block Island Country Fest. This free event is returning to Ballard’s of Block Island for a fifth consecutive year on July 5, 2021, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Bands scheduled to perform include:

Reggae Fest – August 9

Jam Fest – August 22, 2021
10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Block Island Jam Fest will have you grooving to the eclectic beats of some of the most talented musicians around. Guests will feel the influence of the Grateful Dead and Sublime in the air but each band brings their own style of musical talents and technical ability with a whole lot of rock, reggae, funk and jazz to the stage. Plan on having the most chill time as you soak up the sun and sand on the beach during Ballard’s Jam Fest 2021!! Performers scheduled to appear include:
