East Providence, RI (January 8, 2019) – Andrew Zimmern & The Travel Channel returned to Providence to dine at and feature Zimmern’s favorite restaurants and local foods in Rhode Island for The Zimmern List: Providence and of course, a visit to O Dinis Restaurant was on the top of Zimmern’s List. Natalia Paiva-Neves, who operates her family’s restaurant, O Dinis, in East Providence, prepared, served and socialized with Zimmern on his recent visit during a busy lunch rush. Zimmern dined and chatted with their regular local customers while he enjoyed some of his favorite traditional Portuguese dishes, such as Bacalhau na Brasa (salted cod), Stewed Octopus, Fried Smelts and Ameijoas a Bulhao de Pato (Littlenecks steamed in a white wine and garlic sauce), that are specialties of O Dinis Restaurant.
As one of the world’s most well-traveled food explorers, Travel Channel host Andrew Zimmern is an expert on all the best things to eat in a city. In “The Zimmern List”, he is sharing his personal recommendations on the food and places to eat that he loves most. In each of the half-hour episodes, Zimmern literally serves as the viewer’s guide to each town he visits. While immersed in the unique food culture, he reveals some of his favorite eating experiences.

Natalia Paiva-Neves was born in Portugal and moved to Rhode Island at age 6. Raised in East Providence and now operating her family business in East Providence. Natalia’s father, Dinis Paiva, is chef-owner of O Dinis Restaurant and opened the restaurant in 1998. Natalia was raised in the restaurant industry and cooking is second nature and her passion. Natalia was featured on the Providence Episode of Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations on Travel Channel March 1st, 2016 with Andrew Zimmern.
