BLOCK ISLAND, RI (August 23, 2021) – He may have tried, but Tropical Storm Henri was unable to derail the Ultimate Summer Party at Ballard’s Beach. The beachfront resort successfully weathered the storm’s wrath Sunday and is now making preparations for JAM Fest this weekend.
JAM Fest was originally planned for this past Sunday. However, as Henri approached Southern New England, Ballard’s made the decision last week to reschedule the event. It is now set to take place Sunday, August 29, 2021.
“Fortunately, Henri spared Ballard’s from any widespread damage. We never lost power and we were able to reopen today,” said Steven Filippi, owner of Ballard’s Beach Resort. “After a brief delay, we are excited to bring the first-ever JAM Fest to Block Island and are happy we were able to reschedule many of the bands initially scheduled to play this past weekend.”
Jam Fest is an all day event, running from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will feature some of the most talented musicians around. While guests will feel the influence of the Grateful Dead and Sublime, each band brings their own style of musical talents and technical ability to the stage, with a whole lot of rock, reggae, funk and jazz.
