WEST PARIS OLD HOME DAYS RETURNS JUNE 27 AFTER 12-YEAR HIATUS
Reviving a Community Celebration: Featuring Family Activities, Live Entertainment, Food, Games and America’s 250th-Themed Kid’s Parade
WEST PARIS, Maine (June 4, 2026) – The Town of West Paris, known as The Gem of Western Maine, will celebrate the return of West Paris Old Home Days on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., marking the first time the community event has been held since 2014. The day-long celebration will feature food, live entertainment and evening concerts, a Kids Parade honoring America’s 250th Birthday, carnival-style games, barrel train rides for children, a downhill derby hill, sports, craft vendors, and community events throughout town.
The event’s return marks the revival of a long-standing community tradition, originally held from 1957 to 2014, that generations of residents have enjoyed.
Hosted by the West Paris Old Home Days Committee, the event aims to bring residents, former residents and visitors together for a day of community pride and hometown fun. Proceeds from the event benefit the West Paris Old Home Days Committee and sponsorship opportunities remain available.
“We are excited to bring Old Home Days back to West Paris after more than a decade,” said Jeff Holley, a West Paris resident, owner of Ripple Retreat and chair of the West Paris Old Home Days Committee. “This event celebrates our community, our history and the people who make West Paris a special place to live. We invite everyone to join us for a full day of activities, entertainment and fellowship.”
West Paris Old Home Days will also include a wide range of community activities throughout town, including an open house at the West Paris Universalist Church, tours and exhibits at the West Paris Historical Society, an open house at the West Paris Public Library, a community yard sale hosted by the Bobcat Committee at Agnes Gray Elementary School, and a model train display presented by The Great Falls Model Railroad Club at the West Paris Town Office.
More than 30 craft vendors have already registered for the event. Craft vendor spaces remain available for $20 and advance registration is required. Visit westparisoldhomedays.me to register.

Apple Pie Contest – All Ages Welcome
The Apple Pie Contest, sponsored by Cooper Farms, is open to participants of all ages and will award a Best Pie winner. A free bag of apples is available for participants at Cooper Farm in West Paris, Maine.
The winner will be announced at 5:30 p.m. Following judging, pies and slices will be sold, with all proceeds benefiting the West Paris Old Home Days Committee.
Fun & Games
Carnival-style games, bounce house, old-time jail, corn hole for fun, smash-a-car parts auction, and Derby Plinko 50/50. Plus, Downhill Derby cars are available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for kids to enjoy and experience the thrill of racing free of charge.
