SOUTH PARIS, MAINE:  (April 4, 2022) – Starting a new, family-friendly tradition, Young’s Greenhouse – one of Maine’s largest greenhouses – is kicking off the spring and summer planting season with a massive, community egg hunt.

Marking its official opening day, Young’s Greenhouse is partnering with Moss Brook Church to host the free event on April 16, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.


The Easter egg hunt will take place in Young’s Greenhouse heated greenhouses, located at 643 High Street in South Paris, Maine. Each greenhouse will have a special golden egg, which can be turned in for a prize. Registration begins at 10 a.m., with the hunt starting at 10:30 a.m. Participants should bring their own baskets.


In addition to lots of eggs, there will be door prizes, games, live music, cotton candy and popcorn for all to enjoy. Young’s Greenhouse will also have Easter lilies for sale, along with succulents, pansies, and tropical plants.


The event is just the start of an exciting 2022 season planned at Young’s Greenhouse. In addition to its traditional workshops throughout the year – including Fairy Garden, Succulent Garden, and Christmas Workshops – Young’s Greenhouse is adding two new workshops to its lineup. A brand new night-time Herb Garden Workshop will include family herb recipe secrets, as well as a complimentary tasting of Young Girls Farm beef. Special event weekends include:


Mother’s Day Weekend

  • Saturday, May 7, 2022
  • Customers will be able to enter mom to win door prizes including hanging baskets, pots, and garden decor.  Winners will be drawn at the end of the day and prizes will be available for pick up on Mother’s Day.

Memorial Day Weekend

  • May 26 – May 30, 2022
  • Time: Daily 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. & Sundays 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • There will be several sales and specials throughout the weekend. On Monday, May 30, veterans will receive  10% off everything.
